Jose Simbana grew up in Ecuador, then left his country to pursue a career as a teacher in the United States, Brazil, Ecuador, Egypt, Honduras, and Venezuela. He has always enjoyed writing stories for the children in his life, and is now happy to share them with young readers everywhere, beginning with this book. Jose currently lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with his wife, four children, and five grandchildren.
