Jill L. Adelson taught fourth grade in Newport News, Virginia. Hope E. Wilson worked as an elementary art instructor in Texas. They both received doctoral degrees from the University of Connecticut in 2009. Jill and Hope together conducted a long-term research study of perfectionism in children.
