Anna Greenland is a vegetable gardener and cook at the heart of the organic growing movement.
For over a decade, she has followed her passion, growing the highest-quality organic food for star chefs Raymond Blanc, Tom Aikens and Jamie Oliver. She spent three years running Raymond Blanc's vegetable garden at double-Michelin starred Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, and as Head Gardener at Soho Farmhouse Anna created the vegetable, fruit and herb gardens from scratch. She is now turning her own patch of land in Suffolk into a productive market garden. From here she cooks fresh, seasonal food and creates herbal preparations to support her wellbeing.
Her gardening journey started whilst she was still a model, seeking a more rural life. A move to Cornwall saw her working in the iconic Vegetable Garden at the Lost Gardens of Heligan and supplying her own organic produce to Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant in Cornwall. She then studied Ecological Horticulture at the University of California, Santa Cruz, going on to set up a sustainable gardening programme at the Huntington Botanical Gardens in Los Angeles.
Anna won 'Gold' and 'Best in Show' for her 'Herbs for Preserves' garden at Hampton Court Flower Show in 2018. She also designed the first vegetable garden at Kew Gardens in recent times, appearing in the TV show Kew on a Plate and contributing garden content to the accompanying book.
Anna is on a crusade to engage more people with 'grow your own' and shares her passion for herbs, organic growing and cooking through classes, collaborations and social media.
