Howard Holter is an Emeritus Professor of History from California State University, Dominguez Hills, where he taught for 37 years. He has degrees from Northwestern University (BA), Indiana University (MA) and the University of Wisconsin, Madison (PhD). He also worked with the California State Parks & Recreation, where he supervised the restoration of Mexican-era sites, including the Pio Pico Mansion in Whittier, California. He lives with his wife, Ann, in Murrieta, California.
