Thomas Calhoun retired from a career in the federal government, including ten years as a foreign service officer with the United States Information Agency, serving in Australia, rural Thailand, and Greece, and twenty-four years in Washington, DC. He has degrees from Duke and Stanford Universities and a masters in history. Mr. Calhoun has three children and six grandchildren. He lives with his wife in Bethesda, Maryland. Always active, he enjoys biking, and he skied and played soccer into his 70s. This is his first book.
