When my children were grown and out on their own, I decided to enroll in a course from the Institute of Children's Literature. ( I really enjoyed a composition class I took in college). So after getting good remarks from my instructor, I made up my own booklet and gave it to other children in my family. This was 18 years ago. Since then I have new grandchildren and my first great-grandchild on the way, so I got out my material, reread it and decided at my age (83) that this needs to be out there for other children to enjoy, too, especially the young daughter of a Swedish friend (who had lived in our home as an exchange student) and has been very ill this year.
