Jesper Christensen is a Lecturer in Stress Analysis at Coventry University. His primary lecturing subject areas include Finite Element Analysis (FEA), solid mechanics, fatigue, laminated composite materials and shear panels, and the past 2 years of his research career have been focused on the development and validation of Finite Element (FE) based structural optimization algorithms. He recently received Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) funding for a project to develop non-linear optimization algorithms involving industry partners such as Jaguar Land Rover and Shanghai Automobile and Industrial Corporation (SAIC).
