Pat Munts (Spokane, WA) is the small farm and acreage coordinator for WSU Spokane County Extension and the Spokane Conservation District, and advises small farm producers and landowners on how to manage their land, crops, animals and businesses. She also serves as a regional director for the Garden Writers Association. As a freelance garden writer, Pat has shared her gardening experiences and knowledge as a freelance columnist for the Pacific Northwest Inlander, The Spokesman-Review's Voices column, and as the eastern Washington editor of Master Gardener magazine. On the national level, Pat has written for GreenPrints and The American Gardener, and she is the author of Cool Springs Press' Northwest Gardener's Handbook (2014). Pat and her husband Steven still garden on their Spokane Valley property.Sue Mulvihill (Spokane, WA) Susan Mulvihill is a garden columnist, Master Gardener and author of the blog, Susan's in the Garden. In 1978, she and her husband, Bill, moved to Spokane, Washington, where they live on five acres. While there's plenty of room to grow a wide variety of edibles, perennials and other ornamentals, Susan's biggest challenge was learning what would grow in her new surroundings. Susan is known for her down-to-earth approach to teaching and writing that appeals to beginning and experienced gardeners alike.
