Johanna Merritt Wu, PhD, is an organizational psychologist with a specialization in executive coaching, leadership development, corporate mergers, and teamwork. She leads workshops for businesses as well as on marriage preparation. She is a co-author of Starting with Me: Knowing Myself Before Finding a Partner, a co-author of Relationship Talk, a contributor to the second edition of Marriage Can Be Forever-Preparation Counts!, and a coauthor of the third and fourth editions of this same book. Johanna consults with several businesses and works full-time as a mother. She was previously Department Chair in Human Resources Management at Franklin University. Prior to that role, she was Cultural Integration Leader at GE Capital, working on mergers and acquisitions. In her five years at General Electric, she was a Quality leader, a Human Resources director, and was involved in organizational development, training, and Six Sigma as a Master Black Belt. Johanna served at the Bahá'í World Center in Israel in the Personnel Office and was previously a member of the leadership governing board of the Bahá'í Business Forum for the Americas. She has also served in a number of other Bahá'í capacities and on institutions locally, nationally, and internationally. She hosts several weekly devotionals and study circles, and she has led a weekly youth group since 2008. Johanna and her husband, Steven Wu, live in West Lafayette, Indiana, USA, where Steve is a professor of agricultural economics at Purdue University. They are also blessed with a teenage daughter, Haley Grace.
