Ruth Teakle grew up in Ontario in a small stucco cottage distinguished by its plethora of items ready for assembly or dismantling by its four creative kids. 'Imagining' was Ruth's favourite pastime and building garden homes for toads scored a close second. As an adult, Ruth became an animated and dedicated elementary school teacher, best known by her colleagues for misplacing her shoes. For Ruth, laughter, kids and writing have always been priorities. She resides in Niagara with her husband Carl, her four finches, her Beatrix Potter musical critters and, on special occasions, her eleven inquisitive grandchildren.
