Director/Producer Keith Famie was known as a celebrity chef and a metro Detroit restau-ranteur. Famie was also a finalist on the 2001 reality television series, Survivor: The Aus-tralian Outback. Keith hosted his own Food Network series, Keith Famie's Adventures, traveling the world documenting cooking styles. Famie has been awarded eleven Michigan Emmys and has been nominated several other times for his rich, human-interest storytelling, from ethnic documentaries to military tribute films - never shying away from tackling diffi-cult subject matter in his documentaries; ra-ther, the reverse. Famie takes a subject that most seek to avoid and embraces it, approach-ing it from many different perspectives and weaving together the complexities of each sub-ject. He and his team at Visionalist Enter-tainment Productions create informative, en-tertaining films that touch a wide audience. Since 2013, Keith has been producing and di-recting impactful documentaries for PBS as well as national film festivals. The subjects span topics including the military, aging, can-cer, dementia, blindness, Down syndrome, and the Holocaust. In 2019, Keith published a book, Living Through the Lens. Through the storytelling of Keith and his team, they have been able to touch thousands of lives of those who otherwise might not have been able to share their stories. 1. www.keithfamie.com 2. www.v-prod.com
