J. Kent Hutcheson, Ph.D., is the founder of Colorado UpLift and ElevateUSA, organizations that work with urban youth. His academic work has been in the areas of sociology, education, and leadership strategies. He attended Wheaton College and Florida State University, and was granted an honorary Doctor of Ministry degree by Colorado Christian University. He served for ten years in ministry positions on college campuses in the US and Asia through the international Christian organization Cru, establishing numerous leadership training centers around the world. He is currently at work completing an extensive online training course. Dr. Hutcheson and his wife Diane have three adult children and live in Denver, Colorado.
