Dr. Gopalan is an Associate Professor at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and is the course director of Biology of Cardiovascular & Metabolic Diseases. She teaches both undergraduate and graduate levels for a variety of allied health professions, and has authored a number of book chapters on cardiac physiology, as well as published numerous abstracts and articles in various cardiac and physiology journals.
