For more than 25 years I have been a scientist, a teacher and a writer. As a scientist, I discovered new medicines from plants and a disease that turns lizard blood green. As a teacher, I have taught the core subjects to primary, secondary and tertiary students. Finally, as a writer, I have written reference books for Oxford University Press and children's books for Scholastic Australia. Each of these three jobs has brought me great happiness, but I get the most joy when I can combine them and write material that teaches Science to the young and old alike.
