Marylin Nelson taught fourth grade through college and has conducted reading/writing workshops across the country for teachers during her career. She has a BA from Whitworth College and Masters degree from Lewis and Clark College in education. She has written collaboratively for published reading/writing textbooks, and has published professionally in The Book Report, a library journal and in English Journal. Now retired, she lives in Portland, OR.
