Like her father, Hiawatha Bryant Hilliard, Barbara Lynette Peters is an avid reader and lover of words and learning. Despite her professional background as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, she writes whenever possible. Her writings are often inspired by her questions to God, and occasionally curiosities on healthy living. Heaven Before Christmas is the result of a simple question asked in prayer that later led to an unexpected response. Barbara's writing debut began in the late 1990's with stories in a local newspaper in Weston Florida, magazine articles, and later her first self-published book, Adulterous Heart, in 2007
