Frederik Huysamen holds a bachelor's degree in languages and psychology from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, and further qualifications in theology from the University of Pretoria. He also studied marriage counselling through UNISA (University of South Africa) and qualified as a graphologist under the guidance of Dr Erika Karohs. He has experience in drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and years of further counselling experience. In 1997 he resigned to take up his perusal of entrepreneurship. Huysamen enjoys motorcycling in Africa in search of solitary places.
