Stephen Deery is Professor of Human Resource Management at Kings College, University of London, United Kingdom. He was previously the foundation Professor of Industrial Relations and Head of the Department of Management and Industrial Relations at the University of Melbourne. Professor Deery has published extensively in the areas of trade unions and organisational performance, absenteeism and employee turnover and the decline of collectivism. He is currently working on an international study of work and industrial relations in telephone call centres in Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom.
