Judith R. Smith is a leader in gerontological research focusing on women's experiences as they age. She is a senior clinical social worker, psychotherapist, and professor. With a PhD from Colubia University in family policy, she has taught social work at Fordham University for more than twenty-five years. She lives in New York City with her husband.
