Nicoletta Marini-Maio is Associate Professor of Italian and Film Studies at Dickinson College, USA, and Editor of the scholarly international journal gender/sexuality/italy. Her research centers on the intersections between politics, historical narrative and fiction, cultural discourse, and gender in Italian film and theater. She has published articles on the years of lead, coming of age, and auteur
cinema. Her publications include two pedagogical volumes and a critical translation.
