Michael Murphy is the founding principal and executive director of MASS Design Group. Michael is an adjunct associate professor at the Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation. In 2018, he was a Santa Fe Art Institute Equal Justice Resident.

He is the William B. and Charlotte Shepherd Davenport Visiting Professor at the Yale School of Architecture.
