After Fine Arts studies in Bordeaux, Jean Baptiste Andreae started his career in advertising and computer graphics. He enters the comic book world in 1991 after meeting Mathieu Gallie. After Mangecoeur, their first award-winning series, they created a new series, Wendigo. He then created Terre Mecanique on his own and La confrerie du Crabe with Gallie. Since 2012, he's working with Wilfrid Lupano on Azimut. He is also teaching figure drawing in art school.
