Anu Sharma is an Associate Fellow engaged in research on the West Asian region in the Centre for Air Power Studies, New Delhi. This includes producing analytical articles on the politics, foreign policy, defence and strategic issues of the region. Prior to joining CAPS, she taught undergraduate Journalism and Mass Communication program at Kasturi Ram College of Higher Education affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. She holds Masters' degree in Politics with specialisation in International Relations from School of International Studies (SIS), Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She received her M.Phil degree in American studies from the Centre for Canadian, US and Latin American Studies (CCUS&LAS), SIS, JNU. She is currently pursuing Ph.D. in International Politics from the Centre for International Politics (CIP), School of International Studies (SIS), Central University of Gujarat (CUG), Gandhinagar, Gujarat. She has published and presented various papers on foreign and domestic politics of Iran and the broader West Asian region nationally and internationally. She also has experience as a freelance journalist with The Statesman, New Delhi. Her articles feature regularly in Defence and Security Alert (DSA) magazine on various facets of West Asia. She has also peer reviewed research papers for the Asian Journal of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies (AJMEIS).
