Herb Boeckenhaupt retired from a 35-year career in the printing and graphics business in the late 1990s, just as the Internet was emerging. Following the sale of his business, he became a fulltime website designer and developer and has helped hundreds of clients over the past 15 years. Herb has been building websites with Joomla! since shortly after the software was forked" from the Mambo platform. He has won awards for his work, including North Carolina Businessman of the Year and the Phi Beta Lambda National Business Person of the Year. He volunteers as a member of the Information Technologies and Web Technologies Advisory Committees at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College.
