Dr. Pratap Pinjani (b.1965) holds Ph.D. degree in Sociology from MDS University, Ajmer and has been recipient of Governor Chancellor Medal (2015). He has a number of publications of articles and papers to his credit in journals and periodicals of repute. He has presented 40 papers in seminars and conferences at national and international levels. Attended seminars at Yokohoma (Japan) and Vienna (Austria), for which he received a travel grant from UGC (2014) AND ICSSR. (2016) and completed three minor research projects funded by UGC. Presently he is the Head, Department of Sociology, Govt. College, Ajmer since 2014 and teaching Sociology in various institutions from 1991 and engaged in guiding 9 Ph.D. scholars and M.Phil. Students, 8 students were awarded Ph.D. degree and 33 students were awarded M.Phil. degrees under his guidance. He is a life member of International Sociological Association, Indian Sociological Society and various professional bodies.
