Mike Mullin is an award-winning author known for his twisted fairytale retellings and educational writing. His career spans from teaching to creating marketing materials for major entertainment companies. Based in Pasadena, CA, Mike is developing an educational program using his TaleSpins trilogy to teach empathy and anti-bullying. He lives with his wife Dani and their dog Finn.

John was born in Seattle and grew up on Vashon Island, WA. After working as a reactor operator on a US nuclear submarine he returned to Seattle for art school and a series of staff illustration jobs, eventually becoming a character artist for Disney Consumer Products in Los Angeles. He left Disney to freelance and his clients include Warner Bros., Fox, Dreamworks, Mattel, Hanna-Barbera, Visa, even Amazon. He is also an accomplished muralist, having designed several large scale pieces for Hassenfeld Children's Hospital in New York City, and Funko headquarters in Everett, WA, and Hollywood, CA.

In 2006 he wrote and illustrated Larry Gets Lost in Seattle, the first of more than 30 Larry Gets Lost titles in an award-winning series with total sales of over 500,000. Larry is loved in schools and libraries across America and beyond.

John is now a toy designer at Funko in Everett, WA where he lives with his beautiful wife and two dogs (neither named Larry).
