David B. Redwine, MD, FACOG'was born in Fort Worth, Texas and graduated with a degree in biology from Stanford. He received his MD degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and then completed his residency in Ob/Gyn at the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center in Portland, Oregon in 1978. Since 1978, he has been in private practice in Bend, Oregon. His interests have focused on endometriosis and laparoscopic surgery. He has helped define the visual appearance of endometriosis and his computer database has shed important new light on the true behavior of endometriosis. These insights have led to important new directions in research and therapy. In 1987, he helped form the world’s first endometriosis treatment program, based on modern concepts of understanding he helped develop and comprehensive surgical treatments which he continues to refine. Dr. Redwine has performed surgery on over 3,000 patients with endometriosis, with patients coming to Bend from all over the world. He is widely published in the peer-reviewed literature and is the editor/author of two books on endometriosis. He has traveled extensively internationally to lecture and perform demonstration surgery. He is unaffiliated with any medical school or medical equipment company.
