Christopher Harper is a journalism professor at Temple University in Philadelphia. He has taught in Poland and Russia. Before teaching, he worked for more than 20 years as a reporter and editor for the Associated Press in Chicago, a correspondent for Newsweek in Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Beirut, Lebanon, a correspondent and bureau chief for ABC News in Cairo, Egypt, and Rome, Italy, and a producer for ABC News 20/20 in New York. Harper has edited two books, WHAT'S NEXT IN MASS COMMUNICATION AND JOURNALISM 2001. He also has written two books, THE NEW MASS MEDIA AND THAT'S THE WAY IT WILL BE: NEWS AND INFORMATION IN A DIGITAL WORLD.
