Shawn L. Bird is a poet, author, and a high school teacher in the beautiful Shuswap region of British Columbia where she lives with her husband and their trick poodle. She is also the author of the YA novel Grace Awakening Dreams and Power, the Nikki Knox stories, and several poetry collections . She has a BA in English from Athabasca University and an MEd in Curriculum from University of British Columbia. She is an active Rotarian.
