Stephanie Pearson, who is half Guyanese and half English, only established herself as a writer during the lockdown period in 2020, where she released her debut collection, 'Black: There are No Rules in Poetry.' East London has always been her playground and she drew upon her experiences as inspiration for her book. She is now a mother of three boys and continues to live in East London, battling the frequent fears of inner city life and the pressures and risks which are associated with it. Stephanie would also describe herself as an activist, with a passion for implementing changes within equality through her involvement with the modern day civil rights movement. She has also founded The Black Education Project Limited, which provides teaching materials for schools to assist them with incorporating Black History into their classrooms while still meeting the National Curriculum objectives. You can find out more about the project online at www.theblackeducationproject.co.uk or on Instagram (@black.livesmatteruk).
