Jim Stein is a Professor of Mathematics at California State University in Long Beach. A graduate of Yale University with a doctorate from the University of California at Berkeley, Jim has written 30 technical articles on mathematics and several books explaining mathematics for general audiences. His books How Math Explains the World and How Math Can Save Your Life were selections for the Scientific American Book Club. His book The Right Decision resulted in his being invited to be a guest blogger for the Huffington Post and Psychology Today.
