An award-winning food and drink journalist, Myers is currently slinging milkshakes as the Minister of Culture at the 84-year-old iconic Elliston Place Soda Shop in Nashville, Tennessee. He previously worked for The Tennessean as a columnist, features writer and restaurant critic and has also written for national publications including "Bon Appétit," "Garden and Gun," and his work has been included in "Cornbread Nation: The Best of Southern Food Writing.”  Myers also helped launch the Fatback Pig Project in north Alabama where he worked to develop humane and natural protocols for small hog farmers, oversaw the operation of a USDA abattoir, and directed a gourmet charcuterie production facility. Prior to Fatback, Myers worked on food systems issues that address the local region through Community Food Advocates.
