Dr. Fernando Israel Gomez-Castro got his Master and Ph.D. degrees in Universidad de Guanajuato (2007) and Instituto Tecnologico de Celaya (2010), respectively. He stayed as scholar researcher at Texas A&M University. Currently, he is professor-researcher at Universidad de Guanajuato and he is member of the National Research System of Mexico. His research interest is in the area of control studies and optimization of biofuel production processes, including renewable aviation fuel. He has published 35 papers, 15 book chapters and 2 books.
