Mark Fields was born into the world of real estate. As a young child in the Bahamas, he grew up watching his father operate the islands' largest real estate brokerage. Later, as a young man, he joined his father's tourism and real estate businesses in Costa Rica, where he eventually opened his own real estate company. He returned to the U.S. in 1990 and worked in conservation education while brokering large ranches in Central and South America to conservation-oriented investors. In 2008, he obtained his U.S. real estate license and began working as a licensed broker specializing in luxury properties in Asheville, North Carolina. Throughout his career he has brokered over $200 million in sales. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors.
