BART S. FISHER is an attorney, investment banker, teacher, and philanthropist. Recognized as one of the founders of the field of international trade and investment law in the United States, he has taught international trade and investment at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, the Elliott School of International Affairs of George Washington University, George Mason University, and the Maxwell School of Public Policy of Syracuse University. Dr. Fisher has worked to build commercial relationship between the United States and India, representing investors seeking to develop portfolio companies and infrastructure in India. He is co-founder of the Give Life Foundation and founder of the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation and was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Peace and Medicine in 2019 and 2020 for his efforts to establish bone marrow transplant registries around the world.
