Nurit Stadler is Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Her publications include Yeshiva Fundamentalism: Piety, Gender and Resistance in the Ultra-Orthodox (New York University Press, 2008), A Well-Worn Tallis for a New Ceremony (Academic Studies Press, 2012) and Voices of the Ritual: Devotion to Female Saints and Shrines in the Holy Land (Oxford University Press, 2020).
