Sarah Fisch is a writer and artist born and raised in San Antonio. She graduated from the New School in New York City, and was an Annenberg Fellow at the Graduate School of Journalism at the University of Southern California. She's the author of nine children's books; her favorite is the tie-in joke book for Shrek 2, Shrek's Gag Book. Her essays and journalism have appeared in The Village Voice, LA Weekly, New Statesman, and McSweeney's. She lives in San Antonio, and has spent the last ten years writing about its culture, art, and history. Her Texas journalism has appeared in Glasstire, San Antonio Magazine, the Rivard Report, and Plaza de Armas. Currently, she's the Media Manager for the Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival, and a frequent contributor to the San Antonio Current, and Out in SA.
