Kaloyan Gurbalov was born is Sofia, Bulgaria. Always a sports enthusiast, he began playing sports at the age of seven and began body building ten years later. At age 20 he became the republican junior vice champion, after which he was admitted as a fulltime student in the Coaching Program of the National Sports Academy majoring Bodybuilding. In 2004 he became a professionally qualified Bodybuilding Coach. Since then, he has worked with athletes who compete in a variety of sports. In 2006, he founded the company Alternative Nutrition which specializes in the manufacture of dietary supplements.
