Karen Tyrrell author writes empowering books to help kids live STRONG through humour and self-belief. She's a Gifted & Talented teacher, key note speaker and YouTube Book reviewer. Karen is a passionate writing workshop presenter, interactive story teller utilising props, puppets and fun costumes. Her acclaimed books: Song Bird series Song Bird Superhero, Great Barrier Reef Rescue, The Battle of Bug World, Rainforest Rescue, Great Barrier Reef Rescue, and Super Space Kids series share messages regarding bully prevention, resilience and/or caring for the environment: bees, trees and seas. Karen has won mental health awards, 7 literary grants and a mentorship through the Society of Editors (QLD). Karen's book Song Bird: Rainforest Rescue was shortlisted for Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year, 2019. Sir David Attenborough sent a letter of support for Song Bird Great Barrier Reef Rescue. Karen won an Arts Queensland grant for picture book Ready Set Discover Logan. 2019 NSW Premiers Reading Challenge listed STOP the Bully, Bailey Beats the Blah, Harry Helps Grandpa Remember and Ready Set Discover Logan on their Booklist.
