Lyudmila Trut is a professor at the Institute of Cytology and Genetics in Novosibirsk, Siberia, where the events of Tamed take place. She has lived the story since 1959. Along the way, she has kept detailed journals, the contents of which have never before been written about. She has published more than 190 works on every aspect of evolution and domestication.
