After graduating from Amityville High School on Long Island, Dolores O'Connell attended Oneonta State Teacher's College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. She went on to teach kindergarten, first and second grades.
When Dolores' boys, Todd & Brett, were in school, she continued her training in Special Education. This work led her to a love for children with learning differences and disabilities. Many of Dolores' stories share this love.
