Anne Woollett had a successful career as an academic and recently retired from the Psychology Department of the University of East London. For many years she has been chair of the Hackney Marsh User Group. In this context she has sought to defend Hackney Marshes from inappropriate development. Her enthusiasm has encouraged local people to plant thousands of trees in Hackney parks. Anne has a passion for Roman archaeology, Islamic architecture and Round Tower churches. She has recently moved from London to a Tudor house in Norfolk to be close to and work in her beloved woodlands.
