Susie Stubbs is a writer based in Manchester. She has worked with many museums, galleries and historic homes over the years, and has written guidebooks for some of her favourite National Trust properties, from Dunham Massey and Chirk Castle to Little Moreton Hall and, of course, Clumber Park. She has also written for the Guardian and Independent, is a former Time Out editor, has won numerous blog awards and has published several travel books on the place she loves above all others: Manchester. Like almost every writer she knows, she is still working on her first novel.
