An American-born nutritionist with a lifelong passion for cooking, Isabelle Lauren began working alongside her grandmother in the kitchen since about the time she was tall enough to raise her chin over the countertop. After her father became stricken with type 2 diabetes, she began leveraging her culinary skills to create meals that would help with his condition, which she continues to provide him to this day. Soon after she began caring for her father, she became interested in learning how to help others and became a professional nutritionist. Today, she is best-known for her beloved cookbooks for diabetics, as well as her books of traditional recipes. When she's not in the kitchen or researching her next book, Isabelle loves exploring the outdoors, and spending time with friends and family (especially her husband and 10 and 12 year old children).
