Dr. Gajendra Singh Rathore did his M.SC. (Ag.) in plant pathology in 1982 from M.L. Sukhadia University, Udaipur and Ph.D. in 1993 from Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner. He joined as Research Associate (Plant Pathology) in 1984, Assistant Professor (Plant pathology) in 1989 in Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner. At present he is working as Associate Professor in AICRP on arid fruits (Date palm) at Date Palm Research center, Agricultural Research Station, RAU, Bikaner. He is engaged in teaching, research and extension activities since 1984 and guiding post graduate and PH.D. students. He has already published three books entitled" Krishi Vigyan Digdarshan Agricultural scenario of India" and "Practice manual of Crop Diseases and their Management." He is contributor of several chapters in different books in the field of plant diseases and their management. He has published a number of research papers and articles in reputed scientific journals at national and international level. He is on the panel of All India Radio, TV and ETV as expert of plant diseases as well as member of Rajasthan Hindi Granth Academy, jaipur as expert of agricultural publications for the last 3 years.
