A trial lawyer licensed only in Texas, Frank R. Southers has written eight novels: five legal thrillers involving lawyers in the Texas lawyer disciplinary system; one historical novel about South Africa's apartheid; one coming-of-age novel about a young boy hidden in an orphans' home; and one murder mystery, along with two collections of short stories about lawyers. Puppy Dog Tales is Frank's first collaboration with another author. Frank lives with his wife, Linda, and their two dogs in Austin, Texas, having recently moved from Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
