Kate and Emily met at a babies' music class when they were both married eight years ago, and have been close friends ever since.
When they discovered they were both interested in helping others overcome the difficulties in adjusting to life as a single parent, they set up kateandemily.com, which now receives almost 4000 hits a week, and began to run workshops for single parents. They have also starred in a 15-part series Single Mums SOS with Kate & Emily on Discovery Home & Health.
