Oregon veteran and firefighter Sean Davis won a purple heart in Iraq. He has written the memoir Wax Bullet War, fiction and memoir in The Jesus He Deserved (Reprobate/GobQ Books). He has run the American Legions Post 134, which through the years has done outreach to the homeless during winter storms, and hosted various literary readings and festivals there; he has also taught writing at Mt. Hood & Clackamas Community Colleges. In the summer he is a fire jumper, and has written A History of Firefighting in Oregon, and is currently at work on the graphics for his graphic perceptions of what ails us, Dispatches from the Apocalypse. He lives on the Oregon coast.
