Brian Chidester is an art historian, director (As the Wind: The Enchanted Life of Eden Ahbez) and editor based in CA. He has authored books including Pop Surf Culture: Music, Design, Film, and Fashion from the Bohemian Surf Era (Santa Monica Press, 2009). He has also been a regular contributor to publications such as The American Prospect, The Atlantic, L.A. Weekly, Paste, and The Village Voice. He has contributed to historical documentaries produced by the BBC, PBS, Showtime, and received his master's degree in Art History from Brooklyn College in the spring of 2017.
