Chicago-area native Lorraine Evanoff graduated from DePaul University with a degree in French. She lived in Paris, France, for seven years, first working as an English teacher and translator of films for subtitles. Then she worked in film production and distribution before moving to Los Angeles to continue to work in film production. She moved to Silicon Valley and worked in finance during the Dot-Com era. She finally returned to work in film finance and currently lives in Los Angeles. This is her first novel, which is loosely based on actual events and inspired by her years living in France.
